We are a nature hotel, located in the Colombian Amazon in the community of Mocagua, 60 km from Leticia along the Amazon River towards Puerto Nariño.
La Ceiba is a perfect place for travelers looking for an authentic, friendly and comfortable place to stay. The hostel was built in 2018, and every detail is made with love and care, as it is the materialization of the dream of María and Manuel, a couple from the Mocagua community.

LOCATED IN THE
COMMUNITY OF MOCAGUA
We are located in the Colombian Amazon in the community of Mocagua, 60 km from Leticia along the Amazon River towards Puerto Nariño. Access is easy from Leticia, the capital of the Amazonas department.
Please note that since we are located within the community, the hotel is surrounded by residential houses and you will have the opportunity to live an authentic experience in the Amazon. Mocagua is a quiet place, a town in the middle of nature, however you will hear the normal sounds of an active community. It is important for you to know that loud music is only allowed here on Saturdays until 2:00 am.
How to get there?
If you are coming from a country other than Colombia, we recommend flying to Bogotá (the Colombian capital) and then taking a flight to Leticia (capital of the Amazonas department). At the airport it is necessary to pay a tourism tax which is not included in our rates.
To get to Mocagua, take a public transportation speedboat from Leticia to Puerto Nariño. The trip takes approximately one and a half to two hours to Mocagua. We offer an additional airport pick-up service, please contact us to purchase boat tickets in advance to ensure the best experience.
These are the boat departure times:
Leticia - Puerto Nariño: 7:00 am, 9:00 am, 12:00 m, 2:00 pm
Puerto Nariño - Leticia: 7:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm
If you want to take a public boat, be aware of the schedules and make sure your flight has enough time to take the boat. The port of Leticia is about 5 minutes from the airport by taxi.
We have the option to schedule a private boat, these can depart to and from Leticia until 3:30 pm at the latest. Please note that this type of transportation is significantly more expensive than public transportation.
